HerART is a women's art project that focuses on the importance of caring for our bodies, and more specifically our hearts. Over 40 Athens area artists are participating. The human form is our canvas for this project. The participating women artists are drawing inspiration for these costumes and accessories, by delving into their own hearts to find feelings and emotions that need to be explored, realized, and brought forth. We're doing this by creating lively, beautiful, and sometimes zany wearable art. The art was featured to a standing room only crowd in a live fashion show on January 30 and 31st, 2010 at The Ridges Auditorium in Athens, Ohio. To see photos go the the 2010 Exhibit page.
Lastly, in keeping with the health aspects of this project, there are a number of organizations that already promote heart health for women and we are happy to provide links to these important programs and we hope that you will take the time to read this information and pass them on to your friends, co-workers and relatives.
